04 · Salmo 147:3
Jesus Christ Will Help You
You don't have to fix yourself before you come. Come as you are.
The promise
Christ's grace isn't a reward for being perfect — it's the strength that helps you get up every time you fall.
The way you respond to your children's mistakes teaches them what God is like. If they find grace in you instead of condemnation, they'll more easily believe in His.
How to support
When they fail, separate the person from the behaviour. 'I'm disappointed in this' wounds less and teaches more than 'I'm disappointed in you'.
To start the conversation
- 1“Have you ever felt like you didn't deserve to be forgiven?”
- 2“Do you know there's nothing you could do that would make me stop loving you?”
- 3“Want to talk about something that's been weighing on you, no judgement?”
Today's pressures
Perfectionism, fear of disappointing, intense self-criticism, and a tendency to hide mistakes out of shame.
