Covenants Give You Access to God's Blessings

A covenant is a two-way promise — and God never fails His side.

The promise

Covenants connect you to a power that doesn't come from you, but becomes available to you.

A covenant is a relationship of trust with God, sealed by a promise. Baptism is your first great step into that relationship.

The principle

Keeping commitments sounds restrictive, but it's the opposite: faithfulness to good promises is what makes freedom and trust possible.

Today, in your life

Commitment in a 'no-strings' age

You live in a world that avoids commitment — subscriptions you can cancel, 'no labels' relationships, options always kept open. A covenant teaches you the beauty of being committed to something good and being able to lean on that stability.

I can choose to…

To think about

  • What would change if I took my promises to God as seriously as He takes His?
  • Where do I avoid committing out of fear?

In scripture

In covenants and ordinances 'the power of godliness is manifest' — it's not only symbolic.
