Love God, Love Your Neighbour

The whole law comes down to two relationships that matter.

The promise

When love becomes your measure, hard decisions get simpler — even when they don't get easier.

Jesus boiled everything down to two things: loving God and loving people. Not as a nice feeling, but as a way of acting every day.

The principle

Loving your neighbour includes those who are different from you, who disagree with you, and who don't treat you well. That's where love stops being easy and starts being real.

Today, in your life

Kindness in a polarised world

Online it's easy to reduce people to a side, a label, a comment. Loving your neighbour today means refusing dehumanisation — seeing the person behind the profile, even when you deeply disagree.

I can choose to…

To think about

  • Who is hardest for me to love — and why?
  • How do I show love to God in practice, not just in words?

In scripture

Loving God and loving your neighbour are the two great commandments on which everything else hangs.
